so i just got a dell optiplex 170l and i think it was an old school or business computer cuz its got a rear fan directed toward the heat sink.. and the heat sink is bigger than most pc heatsinks and also has vertical and horizontal slots for more heat dissipation.. and the password was amoco so mabey it was a car company computer?
anwyay specs so far after i upgraded some minor details:
2 dvd/cd RW drives
80gb master hdd and 20gb slave
1.512gb ram > plan to upgrade to 2gb cuz thats the biggest it goes
Intel Pentium 4 2.8ghz > i REALLY hate intel.. but i guess i have to deal.. once i get money and ungrounded im gonna upgrade to 3.4ghz (max)
Embedded Intel Extreme Graphics 2 > I WILL NOT DEAL WITH INTEL GRAPHICS! i plan upgrade to an ATI hd 5200 1gb
14 usb ports... not sure what ill need these for but i gott'em
well what do you think? its an old computer but i may be able to make it run games pretty well.
